The Best Type of PD.

The Professional Development Conference We’ve All Been Waiting For

Hi techie teachers! Special newsletter for you today.

Let me be blunt.

There’s nothing worse than finishing a university course or leaving a PD presentation feeling like it was an utter waste of time.

Whether it was filled with outdated knowledge or it was led by someone who hasn’t stepped foot in an actual classroom in years, you always leave feeling like you could have spent your time doing something more productive…. like marking, lesson planning, creating differentiated resources, answering emails, the list never ends.

I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you that I learned more during one week of student teaching than I did in the two years of university getting my B.Ed. Working with actual teachers and students and experiencing it first-hand is the best experience you can get.

That’s why I was so impressed when I heard about the Sequoia Conference.

2 main reasons I think this conference will be unbelievably useful:

  1. It’s all about sharing AI tools that have actually been tested and used in real classrooms. What works, what doesn’t; what’s worth it, what’s not. Stuff you can actually implement seamlessly into your classroom the very next day.

  2. It’s led by real life, teachers teaching teachers, principals teaching principals, etc. No high up “experts” talking all day even though they haven’t actually taught in a classroom in ages. I learn best this way - talking directly to teachers who teach the same subject and grade as you.

To put it simply: It’ll be like your teaching partner on steroids. The teacher across the hall you go to for lesson ideas, resources and tips.

I will be one of the presenters there and I would love to see some of you there! It’s completely virtual and takes place Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 (you don’t have to attend both days as everything will be recorded and summarized). If you’re up for PD funding this year I would highly recommend signing up. You can use my special code just for Teach2AI subscribers, CANOPY to receive 15% off. Hurry, early bird ends October 1.

I’ve attached the brochure if your district requires it to provide funding.

This conference is going to buy you back hours, even days of time spent prepping and planning. You will acquire the knowledge and tools to use that you will not find anywhere else, no matter how long you scroll through TeacherTok.

Seriously guys, you can’t miss this.

See you there. Let me know if you have any questions, I’d be happy to help!
