Issue #3: AI Tools to Help you Plan and Schedule

Long-Range AI Planning Tools

Happy Monday, here’s to the start of a fresh week.

Introducing a new segment: AI Term of the Week. You’re probably reading about AI everywhere but don’t know what all these terms mean… LLM, deep learning, machine learning, etc. I’m here to help deliver bitesize vocabulary weekly, so you can nail your ten minute dinner conversations about AI!

AI Term of the Week: Large Language Model (LLM) is a type of machine learning that can perform a variety of natural language processing tasks such as generating text, answering questions in a conversational manner, and translating text from one language to another. Example: ChatGPT.

Many of you have been asking about AI tools to help you plan at a larger scale than just daily lesson plans - things like semester, yearly and term plans.

Creating yearly plans can be a daunting task. That’s why an AI tool can help - it can spit out a rough outline for you to get past that “writer’s block” in your brain. From there on, you can modify and alter it to suit your teaching style.

Top 3 AI Tools for Long Term Planning (free)

  • Almanack.ai - free platform that has specific curriculums available (US, Canada, Australia) that can make year-long plans in an instant

  • TheEducator.ai - many functions including term planning

  • Goblin.Tools - not necessarily a long term planning platform but can break down huge tasks into manageable chunks

Have a fantastic week and see you next Monday! As always, questions, comments, and suggestions are always welcome.

Til next week,

Sophie (Teach2AI)
